Congratulations to all new graduates and hello to all the “older” graduates.

Knowledge is the gift and treasure all graduates have worked so long and hard to claim.

These three short poems examine the meaning and importance of Knowledge as we travel through life. Enjoy.

 

Because I wrote at least 60% of the poems for my classmates when English teachers assigned them as homework in high school, I became the “class poet.”

In my senior year, I wrote the class poem and the class song.

Ten years after graduation, the reunion committee asked me to write something for the reunion.

The three poems above reveal my personal journey from high school graduation to 10 years later. Thank you.
